This past summer, shortly after the launch of our new San Luis Obispo office, our Palo Alto team joined us in San Luis Obispo for a weekend retreat of learning and family fun. After a delicious welcome lunch of Santa Maria Style BBQ with home made tortillas and enchiladas, the team got down to business with an afternoon of intensive continuing legal education (CLE) covering a variety of topics related to ethics. The fantastic John Steele presented important material and facilitated interesting discussion. He was even gracious enough to join us for dinner at Novo on the river in downtown San Luis Obispo that evening.
Once the work was done, the rest of the weekend was focused on family and team fun. We spent time whale watching in beautiful Morro Bay and horseback riding nearby Mt. Madonna, with sweeping views from the SLO valley to the ocean. This was the first time on a horse for many in the group!
The weekend culminated with a private tasting and dinner at local Tolosa Winery and Vineyard.
We are so grateful to have such a tremendous team that is both incredible at their work, and a joy to spend time with!
